Our Model
We are dedicated to providing innovative, creative, and therapeutic care to Children.
A structured approach to stabilising and sustaining complex placements
We provide high-support residential care for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
Our model is designed to create stability, reduce risk, and sustain placements that may have previously broken down. We combine consistent staffing, structured routines, and clinical oversight to deliver controlled, predictable environments where young people can begin to regulate and engage.
Who We Work With
We support young people who present with:
- Emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
- Histories of trauma and disrupted attachments
- Multiple placement breakdowns
- Risk-taking behaviours and emotional dysregulation
We are structured to support complexity.
Where a placement falls outside of our safe operating model, we are clear and transparent at referral stage.
Our Model in Practice
Our approach is built around five core pillars. Each element is designed to work together to create stability, consistency, and measurable progress.
1. Placement Stability Through Structure
We operate with enhanced staffing ratios, typically 2:1, to ensure consistent supervision, engagement, and support.
This allows us to:
- Maintain predictable routines
- Reduce escalation through early intervention
- Provide consistent responses from familiar staff
Stable environments reduce disruption and give young people the conditions needed to regulate and engage.
2. Behaviour and Emotional Regulation
Our teams are trained to respond to behaviour in a consistent, structured way.
We use a relational approach to:
- De-escalate incidents safely
- Build trust through predictable responses
- Support young people to understand and manage emotions
The focus is not on reacting to behaviour, but on reducing the frequency and intensity of incidents over time.
3. Clinical and Therapeutic Integration
Our homes are supported by external clinical professionals, including our partnership with Meadows Psychology Service (MPS).
Clinical input is embedded into our model through:
- Regular consultations with staff teams
- Behavioural formulation and strategy development
- Ongoing review of approaches for each young person
This ensures that care is informed, consistent, and responsive to individual needs, particularly where behaviours are complex or escalating.
4. Leadership and Oversight
Each home is led by an experienced Registered Manager, supported by senior leadership and independent oversight.
We maintain clear structures for:
- Supervision and staff accountability
- Monitoring of incidents and patterns
- Early identification of risk
Strong leadership ensures that standards are maintained and that issues are addressed before they escalate.
5. Education and Daily Engagement
We place a strong emphasis on re-engagement with education and structured daily routines.
This includes:
- Supporting attendance in education or alternative provision
- Establishing consistent daily structure
- Encouraging participation in constructive activities
Improved engagement is a key indicator of stabilisation and long-term progress.
6. Preparing for Independence
As young people stabilise, we begin to introduce practical life skills to support future transitions.
This includes:
- Budgeting and money awareness
- Personal responsibility and routine
- Development of independence skills appropriate to age and ability
The aim is to prepare young people for more independent settings in a structured and supported way.
How Our Model Works
Our model follows a clear process:
- Initial placement and stabilisation
Focus on safety, structure, and relationship-building - Assessment and planning
Behaviour patterns are reviewed and structured responses implemented - Consistent application
Staff teams deliver care in a predictable and coordinated way - Clinical input and adjustment
Strategies are refined based on ongoing review and professional input - Progression and transition planning
Focus shifts towards independence and long-term outcomes
This structured approach reduces instability and creates a clear pathway for progress.

- Increased placement stability
- Reduction in behavioural incidents over time
